Therapy goes beyond milestones. It's about what's meaningful to your child and your family.

That's why it's time you worked with a paediatric physiotherapist who tailors gentle, thoughtful developmental care for your little one's needs,  right in the comfort of your home.

And that's what Tiny and Mighty is about: to build safety and connection that sparks movement through play.

Show grace, hold space

Show grace, hold space ✶

There’s so much noise around what your baby “should” be doing

And here’s the truth, our brains are designed to move and learn. So let’s allow our children to explore. Let them wobble. Let them lead.

Progress isn’t perfection. It looks like curiosity, taking risks — yes, sometimes with a little bit of chaos — failing and trying again.

Movement is learning. That is why movement isn’t “just play”. It’s firing and wiring neurons together, making connections, it’s brain-building work. My job isn’t to teach the perfect crawl, walk or roll. I am here to create space. To show you how to follow your child’s lead. To trust the wobble. To let their brains do the magic!

But first, let me tell you how I got here

Where it all began — the NICU

I started my journey in the NICU and Special Care Nursery, where I discovered a deep joy in supporting babies and families through early intervention. It was such an honour to offer a therapeutic presence so soon after birth — supporting these precious babies in their growth, laying the foundation for future development as they fire and wire neurons and create synapses.

The years in between

Following families beyond the hospital walls

I worked across a range of settings: at a public restructured hospital, in a private therapy centre, and in an early intervention centre. I’ve had the privilege of seeing some clients through their ages and stages, from NICU to outpatient follow-up clinic, to post-discharge visits in their homes.

This has given me insight into the importance of neurodevelopmental work beyond the hospital walls. I believe that the work we do as physiotherapists is beyond movement, we are building brains. And “it’s not just for the dot (the here and now) but also for the line (the future).”

2020 — Pandemic pivot

Into the deep end of private practice

I left the hospital during the pandemic and ventured into the deep waters of the private practice world. It was intimidating yet liberating. More than anything, it crystallised the reasons why I do what I do. It was as if I now had permission to be and embrace all that I am. To exist in the “and” space. I can be professional and care deeply. I can be kind and firm. I can explore and grow deeper.

2023

Tiny and Mighty is born

Inspired by the female leaders and clinicians who spoke at the Neonatal Therapy Conference in Tucson, Arizona, I decided to start something of my own. But I first needed a name.

Premmies have a special place in my heart because my time in the NICU sparked this whole journey. Many of them are born early and often with very low birthweights so they are tiny. But these little ones are often some of the most resilient fighters.

Fun fact: Tiny And Mighty was originally the name of my 1TB thumbdrive. I was very impressed by how something so tiny could hold so much!

On a separate occasion, a good friend pointed out that the initials of tiny and mighty were the same initials as my name "TAM"! If this isn't a sign!

Now

Helping little ones and families thrive

Since then, Tiny and Mighty has evolved into a space that helps kids discover new and different ways of moving and playing, and empowers parents to care well for their little ones.

Our mission

A safe space for your child to wobble, explore, and grow

Tiny and Mighty exists to offer support that fits just what you need. To provide developmental support that your little one deserves.

It’s never just about chasing milestones or running after skills and goals. It's about seeing your child for who they are, meeting them where they're at, and helping them reach their potential.

Why choose tiny and mighty?

Child-led & play-based

I don't do cookie-cutter therapy. I go at your child's pace and follow their lead — staying curious about every discovery, celebrating the little wins. When it's meaningful to your child, their brain is the one doing the work. Play is learning. Play is brain-building. Therapy is not about sitting still and enduring — it's about active participation and shared joy.

Family-centred

We do therapy not to be good at therapy — but to be able to live our best lives. Your needs and concerns are listened to. You are heard. You are allowed to ask questions, and you are allowed to pause. Because you are the expert on your child. I am here to partner with you for the best possible outcomes.

Connection first

In this technology-driven age, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by information. What children need to grow their bodies and brains is safety and connection. At Tiny and Mighty, I focus on fostering genuine relationships — because when connection comes first, it sparks joy, and children feel safe to move, play, and explore the way they were meant to.

Sensory-informed

Development doesn't happen in separate boxes. I see it more like a tapestry — threads of gross motor, fine motor, cognitive, speech, and language skills interwoven together. That's why I work closely with a trusted network of occupational therapists, speech therapists, early childhood educators, and child therapists. Your child is seen as a whole.

Neuro-affirming

There are a myriad ways of being. Some move by walking, others on their wheels. Some love thrilling swings at the playground, some enjoy stillness and squeezy hugs. All brains are beautiful — and that is what makes each of us unique. Through Tiny and Mighty, it is my hope to help each little one play and move the way they are meant to.
