Tailored individualised physiotherapy care that helps your little one thrive
Infants and toddlers who show signs of or have an increased likelihood of motor developmental delays.
Parenting a child with disabilities and developmental challenges is an enormous job
The medical paperwork, the phone calls and text messages to organise appointments, the anxiety and uncertainty of not knowing what’s next and how much does it take to get through to the next bit.
But it’s harder when you’re the one trying to make it work all at once.
What if we stopped measuring progress by checklists and started listening to what movement is actually telling us?
Are you stuck in comparison, worry or doubt? Care for your child doesn’t have to be done alone
I’m here to help parents take the mystery out of development and find clarity above the noise of “you shoulds” and “you must”.
Because physiotherapy isn't about always doing more and trying harder. Sometimes, it’s about doing it differently with developmental expertise and support that genuinely cares.
The kind that sees your child for who they are.
Here’s what I can help with:
Gross motor delay
Gross motor challenges related to prematurity and/or prolonged NICU stay
Torticollis/Plagiocephaly (head shape differences)
Walking/ Gait: tiptoeing, in/out-toeing, flat feet
Neurological conditions: cerebral palsy, brain injuries
Genetic conditions
Muscle tone differences: stiff/floppy, hypertonia, hypotonia, dystonia
Motor coordination and/or balance difficulties; frequent tripping/falling
Baby play skills

Meet The Founder ✶
Hi, I’m Tamlyn, founder and principal physiotherapist at Tiny and MightyI believe in the power of play because it can be the most therapeutic tool for your child
As the foundation of brain development, play wires movement, builds connection, shapes curiosity.
I’ve journeyed with so many families in my decade-long career, from private therapy centers to hospital wards to the NICU, living moment-to-moment as you stay by your baby’s incubator to feeling relief when they’re finally home.
I understand what it’s like to exist in the in-between spaces - the ‘AND’ space where joy and grief coexists, where excitement and worry lives.
That’s why I’m here to journey alongside you as we discover all the ways growth can happen for your child, outside the hospital.

Frequently asked questions

Babies and little ones need physiotherapy for a variety of reasons! Physiotherapists use their knowledge and expertise in movement and development to find ways to encourage and optimise your child’s play, learning and development.
You are the expert of your child. If something feels uncertain, trust your gut and reach out! Rapid brain development happens in the first few years of your child’s life. This beats the “wait and see” game.
If your baby is a NICU graduate, they may need additional support with their motor skills as their brains and bodies gradually develop and mature. Premmies and NICU babies may require physiotherapy follow-up to help them acquire and develop the necessary motor skills for them to grow, move, play and thrive in later life. As a Certified Neonatal Therapist (CNT), I am equipped to provide specialised developmental care and intervention for babies born early and/or have complex developmental needs.

Sending big hugs your way! Navigating those early weeks at home can be filled with both excitement and apprehension.
Remember, as much as it’s about baby, it’s about you too! Take time to breathe, lean on your family for support, and care for yourself too.
Having spent the early days of my career in the NICU, NICU babies and families have a huge piece of my heart. I’ve supported babies through their journey: from NICU to follow-up clinics to home. And I know how challenging and isolating it can feel. That is why, through Tiny and Mighty, I aim to provide continuous guidance from NICU to home, so that you never feel alone during this critical transition.

Research tells us that the brain undergoes rapid development in the first few years of a child’s life. It’s a crucial window of opportunity to create neural connections and shape brain architecture through play and interventions.
For infants and toddlers who show signs or at risk for gross motor delays, early intervention through physiotherapy can support them to develop the movement skills they need to move, play and explore the world around them.

The perennial question!
As a physiotherapist who loves my OT colleagues, I’d like to think we are alike yet uniquely different! We look at child development through different lenses. (Fun fact: I had a really hard time deciding which course to take when applying for physio school way back one! The story goes that I considered studying for an OT degree at one point!)
Occupational therapists are experts in sensory development, regulation and fine motor skills. They help children develop essential skills for daily living.
Physiotherapists are skilled in movement analysis. We help enhance your child's strength, balance, and coordination. We also help to identify any potential challenges and provide early intervention to optimise your child’s development and growth.

Come as you are!
That’s the beauty of home-based therapy sessions. No fancy, large-sized equipment (that said, I do love me a swing or a zipline!) We use what you already have in your home. Because the best play spaces don’t come from a store, it comes from knowing how to use what you have! And I’m here to show you how!
It’ll be helpful to a few of your child’s favourite, most familiar toys and/or objects handy to ease the transition into meeting a new face (me!) especially on our first session together.

We understand that sleep schedules are tricky, especially in those early weeks as their circadian rhythms are just developing. And that’s okay! For newborns and babies, we’d work around your child’s wake windows and feeding schedules to find a slot that suits you best!
-
The frequency of sessions varies according to your child’s specific needs and your family’s set up. After the initial consultation, in discussion with you, I will recommend a therapy schedule that suits your child’s needs best. This could range from weekly to fortnightly sessions or monthly check-ins. This can change as your child’s needs evolve.
-
Each session typically lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour according to your child’s needs e.g. level of alertness, fatigue, respiratory needs etc. Parent/caregiver coaching and feedback is included within the session too.
Post-session support via whatsapp is available. Enhanced support (e.g. care team zoom meetings) can be provided within working hours which may require an additional fee.
-
Payment is made primarily via PayNow or bank transfers.
Unfortunately, at the moment, payment via baby bonus or your child’s development account is not available.
-
Electronic receipts are provided and emailed to you after payment is completed.
-
Yes! A short memo can be made available at no charge.
Therapy reports and/or insurance memos that require more detail are available at a charge. It is advisable to speak to your insurance provider prior to your first appointment to clarify any requirements.
